Managing Partner & Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Heffner is a co-founder, Managing Partner and Chief Executive Officer of Adamas. Prior to forming Adamas, Mr. Heffner was a Partner of Ajia Partners which managed over US$2.5 billion in alternative investment funds focused on Asia. He was responsible for Fund of Funds business and development of Middle East relationship. He was also a Managing Director for Hong Kong family office responsible for all technology, media and telecom investments. Mr. Heffner was previously an Associate Director with Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management. He has over 20 years of investment experience in Hong Kong and has extensive experience in asset management, marketing, and entrepreneurial ventures.
He obtained an MBA from Columbia Business School and graduated with Honours in Asia Studies from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut.
Mr. Heffner was the former President of Columbia Alumni Association Hong Kong and is current board advisor.
Managing Partner & Chief Investment Officer (Private Investments)
Mr. Lau is a co-founder, Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer (Private Investments) of Adamas. Prior to the founding of Adamas, he was Head of Fund Derivatives Asia at BNP Paribas focused on structured collateralised lending on hedge fund assets.
Prior to BNP Paribas, he was at ABN AMRO focused on structuring dynamic guarantees and credit derivative instruments.
He was formerly a lawyer at Clifford Chance LLP, London, focused on private equity and hedge fund establishments and investments.
Mr. Lau obtained a law degree from University College London.
Mr. Kiang is the Chairman of Adamas. He has extensive experience in banking, corporate lending and investments. He was the former member of the People’s Political Consultative Council of China’s Jiangsu Province, former CEO of Ping An Bank, former CEO China/Macau of Standard Chartered Bank, former CEO of First Sino Bank, Shanghai and Chairman of Credit Committee and Credit Policy Committee, former Managing Director of N M Rothschild, Hong Kong Office and Former COO of CITIC Kawah Bank. He is currently the Independent Director to Jiaozuo Bank in Henan, China.
Mr. Kiang has an MBA from Harvard Business School. He also has Master and Bachelor's degree from MIT. Mr Kiang received a "World Manager Achievement" award in 2005 and "China’s 10 New Outstanding Leadership Award" in 2006.
Marc de Kloe
Mr. de Kloe is a Managing Director of Adamas. He has over 20 years’ professional experience in investment processes, legal, risk and business development.
Prior to joining Adamas, Mr. de Kloe was the Global Head of Alternatives and Funds at ABN AMRO Private Banking, focused on selection of investments including the whole onboarding process, an industry leader of best practices as well as ESG program for funds, responsible for over US$ 4 billion in alternatives and US$ 60 billion in long only funds. Significant exposure to many asset classes and products cross industry experience.
Mr. de Kloe is the Founder and Director of Alternatives 4 Children (www.a4c.nl), a Dutch registered charity raising money from the investment industry for children, which is seen as one of the industry’s leading charities.
Mr. de Kloe was named by Financial News in 2013 as one of the “40 Under 40 Hedge Fund Rising Stars”.
Mr. de Kloe has a MBA from Vlerick Leuven-Gent Management School in Belgium and a Law degree from University of Kent, Canterbury, UK. LLM from University of Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Managing Director, Head of Private Investments
Ms. Yu is a Managing Director and Head of Private Investments of Adamas Asset Management. Since Ms. Yu joined the firm in January 2010, she has managed investments under the private credit funds and gained extensive experience in private credit investments in Greater China. She has also been responsible for the overall coordination of a China onshore RMB lending platform where onshore collaterals can be secured.
Previously she worked at BNP Paribas with Barry Lau, responsible for equities and derivatives product structuring and distribution in Hong Kong and South East Asia. She was actively involved in market research, deal structuring and execution, and the overall coordination of deal documents with clients, the legal team and regulators relating to structured products.
Prior to BNP Paribas, Ms. Yu was an accountant at Ernst & Young.
Ms. Yu has a Master in Chemistry from Oxford University.
